Apache Junction

Located about 25 miles east of downtown Phoenix, near the foot of the Superstition Mountains. This is the only town in Greater Phoenix that is not located in Maricopa County, instead it it the largest city in Pinal County. Apache Junction started out mainly as Trailer Parks and small homes, but today new home subdivisions have taken over. Gold Canyon, an affluent area southeast of Apache Junction was assembled out of a working cattle ranch in the 1970's. Today, it along with Superstition Mountain is home to some of that area's highest price real estate.
